Lonnie Dawes Dies In Outwood Hospital
Lonnie Dawes, 44, world war veteran, Madisonville route 4, who saw eleven months in overseas service, died from tuberculosis at 2 pm Wednesday in Outwood Hospital where he had been a patient four years.
Surviving are three children, Billy Ray, L D and Gladys Jean Dawes, parents, Mr and Mrs I O Dawes, Madisonville route 4; three brothers, Herbert Dawes, California; Shirley Dawes, Evansville; Arnold Dawes, Madisonville route 4, and sister, Mrs Bertie Villines, Evansville.
Funeral will be conducted at 2 pm Friday in Providence church, near Hanson. Rev. C J Carroll, Earlington, will officiate. Burial will be in West Lawn cemetery, near Hanson. The American Legion will have charge at the grave.
