Mrs. Susan Moore Dies in Tennessee
Local relatives have been notified of the death at 6:10 a.m. today of Mrs. Susan Dawson Moore, 73 year old native of the Roaring Springs community of Trigg County, who passed away unexpectedly at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Bates Brown, in Memphis.
The funeral is scheduled for 4 p.m. tomorrow at National Funeral Home, Memphis. Burial will follow at Memorial Cemetery, where she will be placed beside the body of her husband, Carl Moore, who died 13 years ago.
Mrs. Moore was the daughter of the late Almont and Bettie Wilson Dawson, and she was born and brought up at Roaring Springs. Her husband was a Hopkinsville native, and following their marriage, they moved about 50 years ago to Memphis to reside.
She was active in the work of the Linden Avenue Christian Church, Memphis, where she held her membership.
In addition to Mrs. Brown, she is survived by one son, Britt B. Moore, Winston-Salem, N.C.; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews in Christian and Trigg Counties.
