BENTON — Robert David Gregory, 75, of Benton, Kentucky, died Thursday, January 9, 2014, at Baptist Health Paducah.
Born Saturday, November 12, 1938, in Briensburg, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Roy Gregory and the late Ethel Dyke Gregory. He was the husband of Anna Sirls Gregory.
Mr. Gregory was a member of First Baptist Church, the Briensburg #401 Masonic Lodge and a Kentucky Colonel.
He was the former owner of Gregory Slaughter House and was retired as an employee of the Marshall County Refuse Department.
Surviving are his wife, Anna Sirls Gregory of Benton; son, Ronald Gregory, wife Allison of Taylorsville; daughters, Melisha Edwards and husband David of Paducah and Brenda Edwards and husband Jeff of Benton; his sisters, Martha Hobgood and husband Jerry of Benton and Elaine English and husband James of Benton; grandchildren, Lyndsay Gay of Paducah, Devan Edwards of Paducah, Arden, Annette, Adrian, Ross, and Ashton Gregory, all of Taylorsville, and Claire and Morgan Edwards of Benton; and great-grandchildren, Lynnley and Lynnox Gay of Paducah.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 12, 2014, at First Baptist Church of Benton with the Rev. Don Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Provine Cemetery in Benton.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January 11, 2014, between the hours of 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. at Collier Funeral Home. Visitation will also be held Sunday from 12 p.m. noon until the funeral hour at First Baptist Church of Benton.
Masonic services will be held Saturday, January 12, 2014, at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Collier Funeral Home.
