I don't believe that Ancestry has stopped supporting Rootsweb. In fact, they specifically said they were working on it in one of their recent Facebook posts. However, I suspect that Rootweb may be a lower priority, since it is not part of the Ancestry paid subscription.
As for Genealogy.com, I'm not sure. Frankly, I thought it was dead 10 years ago! They had census listings online, but such a terrible search engine that it was essentially useless. Unless you knew exactly how the name was spelled in the census and/or exactly how the indexer mistyped it, you couldn't find the entry you were looking for. Maybe Genforum queries are worth saving in an archive, but that is all in my book.
