The Rev. and Mrs. Claud Threlkeld of Clay route 3 plan to celebrate their fiftieth wedding anniversary at their home with open house on Sunday, March 30. No formal invitations have been sent but all neighbors, friends and relatives are welcome to come from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Mr. and Mrs. Threlkeld, the former Miss Luna McClendon, were married March 25, 1908 in Providence at the home of a sister, Mrs. H.L. Pride and Mr. Pride with the Rev. J.C. Brackett officiating. Attendants were Joe Golds, now deceased, and Mrs. H.G. Hearon of Wheatcroft, who was the former Miss Dessie Threlkeld.

He farmed and did nursery work and has been a minister for almost twelve years. He is now pastor of New Macedonia General Baptist Church in Daviess county.
They have four sons, Mansel and Bobby Threlkeld of Sturgis, W.H. Threlkeld of Clay route 3 and J.H. Threlkeld, jr., of Clay; two daughters, Mrs. Ralph Hayes of Little Rock, Ark., and Mrs. Grover Bell of Evansville, and eight grandchildren.
