Mr. and Mrs. Fred Tapp Observe Golden Wedding Anniversary - 1958

Mr. and Mrs. Fred M. Tapp observed their golden wedding anniversary
Sunday afternoon from 4 until 6 o'clock with open house at their home in
Dixon, arranged by their children, Mrs. John W. Ong of Jeffersontown,
Mrs. B.W. Morris of Providence, and Fred Allen Tapp of Henderson.
Approximately three hundred persons called to congratulate them on the
occasion.
Mr. and Mrs. Tapp, both Webster County natives, were married August
23, 1908 in Evansville. Mrs. Tapp, the former Miss Lillian Allen, had lived
in Poole and Mr. Tapp in Tilden where the couple made their home until
they moved to Dixon.
Their attendants, both of whom were present for the observance Sunday
were the former Miss Dovie Sutton, now Mrs. Dovie Fulcher, and Essell
Russell, both of Poole. **

**compiler's note: Fred M. Tapp was the son of Noah W. Tapp,
1865-1909 and Mary Wiley, 1866-1931, who were married 3 Dec 1884 in
Gallatin Co IL. Lillian Allen was the daughter of John Calvin Allen,
1853-1936, and Laura E. Melton, 1864-1933, who were married 12 Aug
1852 in Henderson Co KY.
