Jo Ann Karsner Wiley, 78, of Lexington, passed away Friday, January 7, 2011 at St. Joseph Hospital, the daughter of the late Joseph Henry and Corinne Brammell Karsner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Lee Wiley; son, James Anthony Wiley; and brother, James Robert Karsner. Survivors include daughter, Karen Wiley Hollins (Jack L. Hollins, M.D.), Lexington, son, Timothy Dale Wiley, DMD (Kimberly Ann Porter), Richmond, and daughter, Susan Wiley Russell (Wayne Anthony Russell), Frankfort; seven grandchildren, Ann Kathryn Hollins and Lynne Allison Hollins, Lexington; Joshua J. Singleton, Casey Allen Wiley and Keenan Lee Wiley, Richmond; Wesley Andrew Russell and Cameron Wade Russell, Frankfort. Prior to residing in Lexington, Mrs. Wiley was a long time resident of Owenton, a member of Owenton First Baptist Church, and retired employee of Owen County Schools. She attended Cumberland College, Williamsburg, Kentucky. In recent years Mrs. Wiley was actively involved in the Donovan Scholar Art Program at the University of Kentucky and resided at Mayfair Village, Lexington. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 10 at 1pm at the Old Sanctuary of Buck Run Baptist Church, 3894 Georgetown Road, Frankfort, Kentucky. Visitation will be held 3-7pm, Sunday, January 9th, Rogers Funeral Home in Frankfort. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Chevy Chase Plaza, 836 Euclid Ave, Ste. 317, Lexington, KY 40502 and Hospice of the Bluegrass, 2312 Alexandria Drive, Lexington, KY 40504.
