I would really like to read the info you found. Can you give me the more exact references? I know that the wealthy DuVernay brothers had a large concession in Louisiana. I also know that my ancestor, Louis Duvernay (in some records given as Francois Dunernay) married Anne Marie Faque, & his son Louis was born at Natchez Post & was later an orphan apprenticed to Judice as a mason. What I want to be able to verify is whether or not MY ancestors are or are not related to the wealthy ones. I have not found solid evidence of this. Have you? There was also a Duvernay family in LA that came from Canada, but I have not found a connection with them either. Please give me the exact volume & page references that you read, & any other info you've found. Thanks so much.
