I'm trying to find the roots of Louis DUVERNAY & his wife Anne Marie FAQUE. Their son , Louis,[sometimes called Francois] was a native of Natchez [abt 1720]. He married Marie Rose GIRARDY,native of Bayou St. John, dtr. of Joseph GIRARDY & Marie Jeanne HENRY.
Louis DUVERNAY & Marie Rose GIRARDY had among their children, a son named Joseph Paris DUVERNAY. This makes me wonder if this son was named after Joseph PARIS dit DUVERNAY, the 1st French concessionair in the LA Province, who sent Dubuisson & others to manage the PARIS-DUVERNAY concession for him. He & his 3 brothers were financiers of Paris. I have no information on whether this Joseph or any son of his ever came to LA; my theory is that maybe a son or nephew of his DID come, & settled at Natchez, where Louis [Francois] was born.
Anyone interested in helping me find more info on this? Any clues will be appreciated. Thanks.
