I am looking for Anyone or the relatives of anyone who may served with my Grandfather JR TOWNSON, Someone has said he may have went by James Robert Townson Because the Navy said he could not have just initials in his name. He was from Oakdale,la. He was in the Navy, it has PTR3 US Navy WW11 on his headstone. I have heard he was in the SeaBee's. I am trying to get his records from the Navy But will take some time. Does anyone know where to get A copy of the records over the Internet??
