I have information on Westfield but no photo of it. From a book at the library written in 1936 by Elsie A. Alleman called The Legend and History of the Place Names of Assumption Parish, it states that "Westfield was formerly called Augustin. There is a story that Mr. Joseph E. LeBlanc, in visiting his fields of cane had to drive west and changed the name of his plantation from Augustin to Westfield. This tradition is not verified by the sons of Mr. LeBlanc, who can assign no reason for the naming of the property Westfield." On pg 51, it discusses Augustin Plantation. The owner was Colonel Augustin Pugh of North Carolina (1783-1853) and he named it his givin name-Augustin. It is located about 9 miles down Bayou Lafourche from Donaldsonville, LA. I do collect photos of the old plantations along bayou Lafourche but I don't have this one. Sorry- hope the info helps though.
