Anatole "Nat" Martin, 83, a native and resident of Napoleonville, died Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at St. Anne Church in Napoleonville. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with burial at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Napoleonville.
He is survived by one son, Anatole "Shorty" Martin Jr. and wife, Joyce; three daughters, Yvonne M. Clement and husband, Charlie, Marie M. Cancienne, and Linda M. LeBlanc and husband, Terry; one brother, Frank Martin of Larose; and eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lucy Martin; his parents, Alphonse J. Martin and Sidonia Gros Martin; and one son, Alphonse Martin Jr.
He was an endowment member of the National Rifle Association, a life member of the Louisiana State Firemen's Association, a member of the Napoleonville Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the American Legion Oncale-Solar Post 88. His hobbies were woodworking, hunting and genealogy.
Landry's Funeral Home of Thibodaux is in charge of arrangements.
