Lucius Van in an interview in 1933, mentioned that William Vanarsdal lived out at the "Vineyard" before the War (between the States). They called the place the Van Place in 1933 instead of the Vineyard. One news item states the planttion was bout seven miles from Minden, LA another 14 miles south of Bellview.
