I am hoping to get in touch with someone who would have access to old newspapers from 1913 that would have carried news (or obits) of Oil City, La. A distant cousin of mine supposedly was shot and killed over a card game there in 1913, do not have a month or day. His name was Tom Clyburn. He was buried around that area, but we don't know where. The Clyburn surname gets mispelled many ways, could also show up as Claborn, Cliborn, Clayborn, Clybarn and so on.
Any tidbit of a clue would certainly be appreciated.
