I am also interested in the Confederate hospital in Shreveport.

In Oct 1864, my ancestor, William Smith MIZE, died of dysentery, while serving in the CSA. He was hospitalized in Shreveport at the time of his death.

That also brings up the question of burials of those who died in the Confederate Hospital during the Civil War.

Were there more than one Confederate hospital and/or burial site in Shreveport in 1864?

I would really like to know if there are any records available.

Thanks!
