Thanks for the info. I am trying to track down the parents of Julia Pellane (aka Paillet, Pellane, Pelland, Pailet). She married Pierre Alvarez (who I also have no info on origins). But I do have census records stating she resided in Western Caldwell District when she was 8 years old in 1850. Makes me think her parents were there and maybe even stayed there.

Any leads on these folks greatly appreciated.
