"Thomas Tillman Stroud was one of the sons of William, son of Hampton. Thomas married Martha Jane Duff, daughter of Edward Duff and Delilah Thompson. Thomas' daughter, Martha Stroud, married Thomas Duff, her first cousin. Their two sons were Richard and James. James was my grandfather."

If I am correct Martha Duff first married Richard H. Swaggart in 1850 and had two sons, Richard and Elisha. Have you found them in the 1860 census?
