William G Stroud would be my GG Grandfather and his son Sumter Gready Stroud was my great grandfather.

William G Stroud left a will and I believe it gave the name of Elizabeth as his daughter. The sons were Robert L., Stephen D. and Sumter G.

By the way, in a previous post I listed the persons and their age brackets found in the HH of William Stroud in 1840 Caldwell Parish. They fit with the 5 children you posted for William and Sallie Gready Stroud.
