If i am not mistaken, there is a butler smith burried at pleasant hill cemetary in lasalle parish. (sometine between 1900 and 1910
catahoula was split up..thats why catahoula lake is in lasalle.)
I will try to remember to check the nect time i am out there.

If he is, it is most likely he came here from carolina via brookhaven miss.
