I am helping a professor at the University of South Alabama gather documentation on the people who died in or survived the Fort Mims massacre and am doing some writing on the Creek War myself. Many Louisiana men served under Capt. Hatton Middleton from Concordia Parish and many died there. If you had a family member who was involved in this, will you please contact me? The professor will submit his material at the end of January, and is primarily interested in documented material, but family stories may be considered, too.
