Hello,

I am researching the Rev. Benjamin and Ann B. Old/Olds Houghton family in Lake Providence, East Carroll, Louisiana. He was a Methodist Episcopal preacher. Benjamin was probably born about 1804 in Georgia and died by 1855.

I am trying to link him to my husband's 3X great-grandfather, Seaborn Houghton, who also supposedly died in Carroll Parish in 1847. I think that they could be brothers.

Benjamin and Ann probably married before 1839 and had these children according to the census: John L., Eugene L., and Ann B./Benanna Houghton. Benanna is my link to Seaborn since she lived with his daughter and her family from 1870 on in New Orleans and Galveston, TX.

Any information about this family would be most appreciated.
