Funeral Services for A.E. Embree
Funeral services were held Monday for A.E. Embrees (sic), 78, of Slaughter, who died Sunday following a brief illness. The Rev. A.C. Magee officiated at the Slaughter Baptist church services, and burial were (sic) were in the Redwood cemetery.
Mr. Embree was a member of a well-known Wilkinson county, Miss., family. He was the son of Dr. J.E. Embree.
He leaves his daughter, Mrs. Ben McNeil of St. Rose; two sons, Tom McCants of New Orleans and Felix Embree of Slaughter; two sisters, Mrs. M.B. Alexander of Denton, Tex. and Mrs. A.C. Watson of Slaughter, and a number of nieces and nephews, including Misses Thelma and Bessie Watson, teachers in the East Baton Rouge public school system.
