I am researching the Armstrong & King families of early Selma, LA.
My grandfather’s 2nd wife was Anna Armstrong, whose father was James Matthew Armstrong. Arthur Edward ‘Red’ King was my grandfather.
Vallie Dendy Armstrong was married (2nd) to my cousin, Eartie King of Selma.
Vallie is buried in Georgetown Cemetery, along with both husbands, Earl Armstrong and Eartie King and daughter, Millie Armstrong Parnell.
Mellie “Big” Armstrong was known as "Big". She was twin sister of Millie, known as "Tee-Wee".
Mellie lived on Hwy 165, a few miles South of Selma.

Mrs. Henderson was a homemaker and a resident of Dry Prong.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Henderson; two sisters, Dorothy Nell Dugas and Millie Parnell; and a grandson, Colin Henderson.
She was survived by one daughter, Teresa Lynett Whitehead and husband Jimmy of Dry Prong; two sons, Gary Leon Henderson and wife Susan of Lake Village, AR, and Dennis Earl Henderson and wife Marilyn of Pollock; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Millie "Tee Wee" Armstrong was daughter of Vallie Dendy Armstrong, wife of Eartie King.
Died of cancer. She is buried in the Georgetown Cemetery, with mother- Vallie Dendy Armstrong King,
her father-Earl Armstrong and step-father Eartie King. She was twin sister of Mellie, "Big".
She was married to: Herbert E. Parnell
Older Sister: Dorothy Nell Armstrong, buried in Baton Rouge, LA
