Mmm, is it complicated.
From all indications, Alfred(born 1840) was a busy man, marrying 3 times. My best guess would be that this Alfred would be the great-grandfather of Arthur Ardeneaux, Sr which is the line I trying to research.
Both Arthur's father and brother were named Alfred, so I am certain this is the correct family.
