I am originally from Grand Isle. I know that I am related to the Santiny family. My Aunt Louise still lives there and my mother, Dorothy Couvillon goes home to visit every now and then.
I am very interested in any information that I can get on the Santiny family. Here is what I know: Mama= Dorothy Theresa Thile Couvillon Her mama= Alice Santiny Her father: Louis Gene Thile; Alice's parents= Estella Vernon and Jovenie (sp?) Santiny. It is my understanding that Alice died, either having mama or when she was very small. Mama was raised by Estella.
Any help you could be to fill in the blanks and any family history would be treasured!
