Hi, again, Nelda. Since our correspondence last year, I have found out that Mr. great-grandmother Elizabeth Busby Clark did have a half-brother named Jack, who was indeed a Baptist Preacher. He preached for 60 years and died in 1921. We were told that their father was Choctaw. We are also told that Jack served in the Civil War in his father's place. There is a record of a Jack Busby who served in Georgia's 10th Batallion, Company C, which was attached to the Army of Northern Virginia. Our understanding is that the family was in Bibb County Georgia at that time. Company C fought at Fredericksburg and Gettysburg. Since my grandmother lived at Vienna, LA with her mother, Jennie Whitehead Graham (both Jennie and Houston had prior marriages), and Elizabeth was the only one they had together. Elizabeth was born in 1888 in Lincoln Parish. Have you any idea what the real name of "Houston" was? I know that most of this is speculation, and we have no provenance, but I would like to know more. Where did Jack preach. Did he live in DeSoto Parish? Thanks for your input. Debbie Conrad,
