Surnames: Edwards

Very Curious – Morehouse Parish family deaths in same year, 1857

Robert L. Edwards (married son) – died March 28, 1857
Elizabeth Hollingsworth Edwards (mother) – died August 3, 1857
William Edwards (father) – died December 4, 1857

Does anyone know what happened? Was it some disease outbreak; do parish records exist that record what the cause of death was? Who can help?
