What happened to them after 1850?

Below, I have tracked "a" Harrison Waite whom I believe to be the same man with the same family. I have done acrobatics with SEARCHES on each of the family members listed on the 1850 Census above --- to no avail. I am not familiar with Louisiana genealogical resources other than what is online. It seems very odd to me that the entire family seems to have disappeared after the 1850 Census.

Any tidbits ???

BTW, I have put my comments in brackets for each of the cut&pasted record transcription abstracts in this post.
