Classification: Query
Surnames: Ancar, Ancard, Arlu, Iris, Baptiste,
Also,
There is this entry from the Early French Colonial Records and Notarial Records ~
Genevieve Ancard (dit L'Abbé). Separation of Property from Pierre Ancard ~
The name "Abbe" is also connected to Houma/ Choctaw families of Terrabonne, Lafource and Plaqumine and is considered a Choctaw word.
Is there also a succession of a Pierre Ancar(d) in early Plaquemine Parish Records?
I am unable to access these records as they appear to be off line.
Any help would be appreciated !
