I am researching Mary BURAS born 27 Oct 1860 d/o of Pierre Vallery BURAS and Marie Marcelline JOHNSON, married 10 Sept 1880 at St. Thomas Church in Pointe a la Hache, Plaquamines Parish, La. (Source: Vol 3, folio 54) to Pierre Davis RICHARME s/o Jean RICHARME of Marseille, France and Amelia AGUE of Florida. On the 1870 La. census Jean is listed as born c1809 and a farmer while Amelia is listed as born c1832 and a midwife. Mary BURAS died 13 January 1934 or 1935, she and Davis RICHARME are buried in St. Joseph Church Cemetery in Paulina, La. Pierre Davis RICHARME (called Davis) moved his family to Gramacy, La in the mid-1800's, where he was elected as state legislator. They had eight children. One of the RICHARME girls married a JEANFREAU. Another, Martha Eleanor married Jules Clarence DeLAUNE in 1901 in St. James Parish. Another daughter was Lillian. John, Logan and Olympe may have been three other siblings. I was told that this BURAS family can be traced back to Mobile, Ala. to about 1725 but lost contact with that researcher. Can anyone add any info to this family about any children or siblings of any of those named? Thank you.
