Sorry, I have no idea if she had a nickname. I just came across her when I was looking for obits on the family. John Barbier was listed next door to Augustin Sr., Jr, and Cecile and children in the 1900 census, but John Barbier's wife and children were not. He is listed as married. I don't know if this is Eleonora's husband or not. The whole family of Barbier's is listed in New Orleans on Dumaine St. Both John's were from Austria, but one was born Apr. 1852 the other Jul 1851. Possibly they are both the same person but had a second place in Plaquemine Parish where he could stay during the oyster season.

If it helps Eleonora's father was Augustin Pelagalli & Victorine Noreri/Moreri. Eleonora died in 1922, her father 1910, her mother died sometime before 1910. Victorine could have died during the hurricane.
