Melbourn is a village just outside Cambridge (UK). Meldreth is the next village and often couples from either village would marry in the other's Church. My hunt was for a William Wood, who lived in Melbourn but married in Meldreth. I've got a bit of confusion as I have 2 dates for William and my guess is that they are father and son, but I haven't had a chance to prove that yet. One branch of the Wood family emigrated in the 1870's to Chillicothe Ohio and I am in touch with that part of the family.
