My name is Cynthia DeCoux Stone. I am working on my family history and seem to be stuck at the DeCoux part. Hopefully, I can connect with someone who can give me a name or two and start me on my way.

My grandfather was Abel Decoux. He was born 19OCT1894. I believe he was from the New Iberia area, but he could have been born around Pointe Coupee, as well. His mother was Louise Judice and his father was Jean Paul DeCoux.

Abe had many siblings: Lucille, Maurice, Teresa (married garcia), Marie Mable, Rene,Blance, Anna, Pierre Sydney, and Marie Rose.

We are part of the Gonsoulin heirship, and are related to many other DeCouxs. Jean Paul DeCoux, my ggf, had siblings:

Adolphe DeCoux who married Florestine Vaughn (children = Henry,Frank, George,Adolphe, Clarence, Lauren, Laurence, Mauise, Laura who married Prutherds)

Rodolphe who adopted Aurelie.
