Don't have a lot, but John Yoist was the son of Jacob Yoist and Sarah Moore. Sarah later married David Gay (my connection). John died 28 Jul 1910 in Pointe Coupee, LA. Married Eudora Bergeron. Children: Henry Jacob Yoist(31 Mar 1873 - 17 Nov 1936) and Eudora Yoist(27 Sep 1884 - ?) married Louis Saizan (abt 1891 - 17 Oct 1948).
