Hi Donna,

The census for that Annie Abro in 1870 seems to be the closest I can come to your Annie! The name Abro could be the way the census taker heard Abraugh; both spellings could be pronounced the same. I searched for all the Anns, Annies & Agnes b. +/- 2 years of 1865 in LA & went through the lists. This one is the only one that came close. She is right where she should be to be your Alex`s wife, too. I don`t think birth records were kept in LA that early but if you know what religion the family was you might find a baptismal record. I would think if her parents were married she would have had her father`s surname on the marriage lic.

I hope Carole can help with the Eppinetts. Good luck!

Pat
