Amelia,
I believe Ferdinand Moore`s parents were Samuel Moore & Melite Oliva. I`ve been trying to trace my 2nd greatgrandmother Mary Moore Morris (b. 1858) of Richland Parish & in the process have checked all Moores on the census there & in the parishes from which Richland was formed in the late 1860`s. I also came across a 1999 message from a Johnny Moore regarding Ferdinand`s parents. I`ll paste that & the census below. I exchanged e-mails with Mr. Moore in March of this year but he has not responded to the last e-mail I sent requesting further info. on this Moore family. I`ll space his e-mail address so It can`t be picked up by "bots" Just put it back together if you want to try to contact him. If you hear anything, please let me know!
My gggrandmother`s brother (at least I`m 99% sure he`s her brother!) William married Rosalie Epinnette in 1879. They lived in Monroe, LA.
