I appear to be descended from George Martin who married Susannah, perhaps a West or a Coleman.

As for her being a West, no eligible Susannah appears in the usual reports of the West family. I believe that, if Mrs. Susannah Martin were indeed a West, she was of the "Indian" Wests, a descendant of Cockacoeske.

It is also possible that Susannah, the wife of the younger George Martin, is being confused with the daughter of Gov. John West and Unity Croshaw who was apparently the wife of an older George Martin. But let's not overlook the possibility that the confusion is happening the other way around, and that Susannah the wife of the older George Martin is being confused with Susannah West, wife of the younger George Martin. Or that the wife of George Martin is being placed in the wrong generation in reports of the West family.
