I am starting a search on my great grand mother, Molly or Mary Jane Ashworth. She had brothers JAMES & ALBERT (maybe others) and a sister BELLE. They were supposed to have come from St. Mary's Parish to Texas to escape the horrors of the Civil War. It was rumored that the father of MOLLY JANE and her siblings was killed during the Civil War in St. Mary's Parish. The mother brought the family to Texas. This is the tale that has been passed down by my grandfather who is deceased. MOLLY JANE ASHWORTH supposed to have married a man with the surname of VASQUEZ. She lived at Goliad, Texas for a while and died in Alabama. The family tale says her parents were both ASHWORTHs. Can anyone help? Molly Jane Ashworth was born 24 Dec 1866. thanks, dave
