I am trying to locate the family of Telesphos Poche, my grandfather. He had a brother Octave Poche that was an attorney during and after the Civil War. I once found a diary in the Library that Octave wrote, but I have not seen a copy since, nor can I locate any geneology.

My grandmother was Louisiana Marie Matherne.

Mr. Poche died at about 22 years of age from apendix.

The family home is still in St James Parish , however most of the land is gone.

I do not know where he is buried, but I have reason to believe it is in the graveyard at the Catholic Church at Convent.

I have a sister-in-law in Metarie, Barbara Spencer. She is well know in Real Estate. She has done some research.
