I have been looking for my african american, ancestry, etc., family members that begin in Abbeville, Vermilion parish, Louisiana for years now. I am going to now submit a list of family names, if you can identify with any of these [last] names, please contact this writer. Names are: Henderson, Mathews, Thibeaux, Milton, Chargois, Boutte, Davidson/Davis, Douglas, Cary, Debruhl, Petry, Brown, Jordan & Hicks. Perhaps one of you may be a relative of someone with these last names. Or may have information regarding one of my relatives. Regardless of what state they may be found in today!
