I have been seeking information reagrding any african american member of this evasive "DOUGLAS" family that lived in Vermilion parish during, after, and before the year 1920! Taking about William Douglas,dob:1895, he also served in the US ARMY during WWI! In 1920, William Douglas was living with a woman named "Beula" age:25 and there was a child named, "Joseph."age:3. Unknown if they were married, etc. But the 1920 [POLICE JURY WARD 3, VERMILION] census had them all listed as last named "DOUGLAS" Apparently William or Beula, were kin to the Jordan's, Gabriel Jordan age:67 and wife Mary, age 55. unknowed where these Jordans came from. William Douglas, father was also named William Douglas, his wife had a maiden name of Mary Hicks. Apparently all these family members were born in Louisiana! If any one knows of any african american Douglas family members, even if living in Abbeville, LA,etc., that are somehow connected to this family, where ever living within these united states, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
