You are soooo right. I'm 52 years old and both my parents are gone. I'm finding a lot more on my dad's side (Perkins) than on my mother's (Shane). I think her mother must have just appeared out of nowhere. Her name is Katy Pearl Dill Shane. She married William Green Shane. I can find information on him, but on Katy,.....forget it. My mother died when I was 18 (she was only 44) of cancer. My Aunts that are alive are so old that they don't remember much. I do know that my mother was born on an indian reservation in Oklahoma. I believe it was Golden Ok. I got her birth certificate, but a lot of information is missing. So, to all the young ones out there.....ASK NOW!!!
