Nina Mae Jordan, 81, succumed Saturday

Eighty-one year old of Enon, Louisiana, Mrs. Nina Mae Dixon Jordan, was claimed in death at 2 o'clock Saturday morning, March seventeenth, while she was a patient at the St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington, Louisiana.

A member of Enon Baptist Church, she is survived by: two daughters, Mrs. James A. (Emogene) Wood and Mrs. C.W. (Dorothy) Penny; one sister, Mrs. Mildred Knight, all of Franklinton area; thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

The body lay in state in Franklinton at the Branch-Simmons Funeral Home until the cortege departed for the Enon Baptist Church, where final rites were conducted at two-thirty o'clock Sunday afternoon, March eighteenth, followed by interment in the church cemetery.

The Reverends Harry McIntyre and Russell Valentine were the officiating clergy for the religious rites and pallbearers were: Hugh V. Bateman, Tilmond Richardson, Ray Richardson, Frank Green, James Newman, and Levon Newman.
