Eugene Sumrall interred Tuesday

Funeral services for Eugene Sumrall, 83, of Oak Grove, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Kidder-Cox Funeral Home in Oak Grove with the Rev. Ottis Shoemaker officiating.

Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Sumrall died Monday morning at West Carroll Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was a retired farmer and a native of Mississippi. He had resided in Oak Grove since 1932.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Pinkie E. Sumrall, of Oak Grove; four sons, Laverne Sumrall, J.B. Sumrall and Henry Sumrall, all of Oak Grove, and Willie E. Sumrall, of West Monroe; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
