Olga's mother Emilie Mekkelsen (Mikkelsen) is the sister of my great grandfather Nils Mekkelsen. Nils was Emilie's sponsor to the U.S. Since posting the original message another Mekkelsen cousin researching the family has learned that Emilie died 07 Oct 1917. When her daughter Olga was living, we know from older relatives that she made several trips to Mass. with her young son to visit family. Since the death of Olga the family has lost contact with the only know descendents of Emilie.
