You are very welcome. I just hope I was of some assistance. If this was the last name of your family member, then yes, they are related by blood or by marriage. This small town got it's name from William Fendon Cheney who founded it in 1812. The Cheney's were basically of 4% irish and 2% german decent. The cemetery is really really old and is located across the street from a church, homes, and a pond that seperates both sides of the road. I'm glad you were able to find someone who could take pictures for you. There are several old oak trees in the front of the cemetery that are hundreds of years old. Hoping you find all the information to help you trace your family's history.
