This Mary Ann Wilson is believed to be the daughter of Thomas Wilson (1785 - before Dec 1806 Falmouth, ME, USA & Hannah Robinson (1785 Cape Elizabeth, ME, USA)
A birth record from the gouvernment office is not possible as the building was completely destroyed by fire in the early 1900s.

When Thomas was lost at Sea in 1806, after only two years of marriage to Hannah Robinson, she remarried to a Samuel Baker. This is reflected in the birth, marriage, and death records of Mary Ann (Wilson) Nichols daughter , Mary Ann (Nichols) Morse's Birth, Marriage, and death records referring to her mother as Mary Ann Baker. Mary Ann (Wilson) Nichols' son Samuel B's death record identifies the mother as Mary Ann Wilson.

The Wilson family is fairly well recorded in Mary Ann's Grandfather Joseph Wilson's Pension file for his service in the 1775 rebellion against the Crown. The Robinson family is treated in a published genealogy, "The Robinsons and Their Kin Folk", available on Google Books.
