Does anyone out there have any photos or information regarding the Irish Patch in Lewiston, ME? Its location if standing on Lincoln St. is North St. to your right, and Water St. which runs parallel to Lincoln and on the left side is a canal. It is across from an old mill on Lincoln St. and there are still a few houses there but my understanding is that the houses remaining will soon be gone in lieu of a park. Many of my family lived there in the 1900s and went to St. Joseph's Church (now closed) but photos are few and far between. Other families who lived there were McSherry, McDonald, Bean and O'Connor. There were some McCarthys but they were primarily from the Strawberry Patch and the Burnt Woods (now Willow Ct.) Any help would be most appreciated.
