Hello,

I stumbled across the death record of a Catherine Driscoll, died 1902 age 15, residence Lewiston, parents James Driscoll and Mary Minihane.

Searching further, I found a census record for the family in Maine in 1900 and again in 1910. ED 17 Lewiston city Ward 3, Androscoggin Maine.

The names of the children and their birth order roughly match the family I am looking for, though they are somewhat younger in the US records than the Irish records. Catherine was the youngest and apparently the only child born in the US.

The James Driscoll I am trying to trace is my gg-grandmother Ellen's younger brother. My Driscoll ancestors (the men anyway!) vanished from Caheragh civil parish, County Cork, Ireland and I'm trying to figure out where they all went.

The older brother Florence preceded James to Androscoggin County by nearly a decade.

If anybody knows anything about these Driscolls in Lewiston I would be grateful for information. I can supply more details about the family in Ireland if necessary.
