The 1880 census for Farmington has Rebecca PARISH, widow, listed as the grandmother, living with the family of Curtis Manford LOWELL b. 1847 and wife Abigail "Abbie" PAGE b. abt 1846. An online sources claims he was adopted and his surname was "WOOD", both birth parents from Nova Scotia. Although his name is given as Curtis Manford LOWELL, in the 1850 census there is a Curtis B. WOOD aged 1 living in Farmington, the son of George WOOD and wife Ruth A. I'm looking for confirmation of the relationship and also information on George WOOD and any other siblings including the Hiram WOOD aged 2 listed in the 1850 census.
Curtis Manford LOWELL m. 23 Dec 1871 in Farmington to Abigail PAGE. I believe his parents were George WOOD and Ruth A. PARRISH. Ruth A. PARRISH was likely the daughter of Elisha PARRISH b. 1 Jan 1790 in Cornwallis, Kings Co., N.S. m. 2 Nov 1814 Rebecca THORPE b. 18 Aug 1797 in Cornwallis. There is record of Elisha, Rebecca, Ezekiel, and Ruth A. arriving in Boston from Cornwallis in 1845.
